Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and motivated SMSTS Construction Site Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations on one of our major construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site operations, including supervising staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate and schedule all site activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Maintain communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Manage site budgets and resources, ensuring efficient use and timely procurement of materials.
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may arise on site, adjusting plans as necessary to keep the project on track.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Experience in Civil Engineering/ Fit Out would be an advantage.
  • Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification.

PMR Construction is a well-established construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We’re committed to maintaining safe and productive work environments and are seeking a skilled and motivated Groundworker to join our team.

Role Summary:
As a Groundworker, you’ll play a key role in site preparation, groundwork, and foundation laying to support the successful completion of our construction projects. This role involves working alongside a dedicated team, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained in safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excavation & Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing land, excavating soil, and levelling ground as needed.
  • Concrete Work & Foundation Laying: Assist in laying foundations, pouring concrete, and setting formwork.
  • Drainage & Pipework Installation: Install drainage systems, pipework, and ducting according to project specifications.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE to maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a range of hand and power tools, as well as basic machinery, as necessary for site preparation.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of groundwork techniques, including excavation, drainage, and concrete work.
  • Familiarity with site safety practices and commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and understand site plans and blueprints (preferred).
  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of construction work.
  • A valid CSCS card is required.
  • CPCS or NPORS Plant Training Certificate.
